Zhangjiang Science and Culture Exchange Center

Zhangjiang Science and Culture Exchange Center is the first project in China registered to be planned and certified according to the comprehensive German certification system for sustainable buildings (DGNB). It also purses a Chinese Green Building 3-star rating. This project, initiated in 2010, aimed at creating an environmental-friendly working space for foreign & Chinese enterprises. The office building consists of five floors above ground and two floors underground with GFA 12,000 m². 
The integrated energy design and office operating system represents the best practice of DGNB standard, the application of ecological technologies is effectively reducing energy consumption, optimizing the environment, improving the occupant comfort and reducing the life-cycle cost. This project hence becomes China’s first demonstration project achieving a DGNB Pre-Certificate in Gold.
